WANA (Mar 28) – International Quds Day, held every last Friday of Ramadan, has an essential place in Iran’s calendar as a day to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and reject Israeli policies. Established by the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979, it has since become a beacon of solidarity and struggle against oppression. March 28, 2025, will have Quds Day, while Iranian leaders emphasize its significance this year.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, calls for a magnificent turnout, noting that “Quds Day is always a sign of the unity and strength of the Iranian nation.” He reiterated that this year’s participation would demonstrate for all to see the solid commitment of the nation in support of Palestine and against any claims of internal divisions or weakness.

Foreign Secretary Abbas Araghchi also emphasized the day’s symbolic importance in its “no against” both occupation and apartheid: “Quds Day is a collective formulation of no to apartheid, no to erasure of Palestine,” which is a re-indication of Iran’s determination to bring justice to the Palestinians.

Totally, Iran had shown off its strength before Quds Day, displaying its naval capabilities as part of support for Palestine, which it has indicated its readiness to defend from all forms of oppression. Thus, it is a “striking” propaganda of Iran expressing concern about the Palestinian struggle against the actions of Israel.

Even ordinary citizens of Iran who have participated in this rally seem to be confident of the choice to support Palestine and are also satisfied with Iran’s ability to defend itself if anything happens.

The brave men of our IRGC are fully prepared to destroy and annihilate all your bases in the Middle East and all your ships and aircraft carriers at once.” Said Mr. Bakhtiari, A Participant in the rally of Quds Day

Also, when WANA reporter asked a young woman in the rally how she felt about the threat America makes against Iran, she said:

” They (America, regarding the threats they have made) can not do a damn thing; even if they try to attack, we will punch them in the mouth (retaliate) and if they do make a mistake, as the leader said, the era of hitting and running away is over and if they hit one, they will get ten.” Expressed

The Million-Strong Presence of Iranians in Support of Palestine Amid New Year Holidays Surprises Many.

Most Iranians believe that Israel, as a regime responsible for decades of instability in the region, must be severely punished or expelled from the region.

The government has thus publicly invited all citizens to attend the processions taking place in cities across the nation on March 28, urging the citizens to show togetherness and global solidarity with Palestine.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the head of the Iranian parliament, who was the speaker of the ceremony in Tehran, has commented on the importance of the issue of Gaza and said: “Today, the issue of Palestine has become a global issue and a concern for humanity. The Zionist regime and the US agents should not say that the Resistance Front has been defeated; the Resistance Front is alive.”

2025 Quds Day is set to witness geopolitical tensions in the Middle East; the most significant aspect remains the Iranian people’s right to show support toward Palestinian rights and an outright condemnation of any perceived unjust policies. Heavy physical turnout is expected, which should give a standing portrayal of how relevant the day is and the Iranian nation, immune to any changes opposing the rights of oppressed communities worldwide.
